The new album from The Buddy McEarns Band is a collection of songs that present growth of the band and also in Buddy’s songwriting. A bit more urgency and "oomph" is on display with this new release (Check Your Meter, iCURL, Show Must Go On). Yet, the playfulness and heartfelt wit that is typical Buddy can still be found (Hold On, Long Time Coming, Mr.Prine’s Blues). Lastly, the band shows the ability to reach into tradition and create music that’s familiar, yet maintains the feeling of something new (Paper Doves).
