About the Band
Eight years ago Thomas Forst was a Regional Vice President of Cox Communications Group, who at the peak of his executive career in television advertising, quit it all to pursue a full time music career. He and his wife had just paid the last college tuition bill of their youngest child. Now at 65 years of age, after performing hundreds of shows, and releasing two full albums with blues trio Suit Ty Thurrsty and the Jason Gisser Band, here is an artist the world has come to know as Tom The Suit Forst, a two time finalist in the Blues Society competition, ready to release his first full length solo album on Factory Underground Records.
Produced by Grammy Award-winning guitarist Paul Nelson, "On Fire" features musicians from the Johnny Winter Band, Allman Brothers Band, Paul Nelson Band, Stephen Colbert Show Band, and Popa Chubby Band. Eight highly personal original songs and three classic cover songs round out an authentic blues-based rock album, with deeply rooted nuances of Americana and alternative-country.
The first taste of "On Fire" will be the country-blues "Going Home," a song that features Tom on his beloved acoustic dobro. A video teaser has been released on Facebook and You Tube, with the digital launching mid-October on iTunes, Spotify, and streaming sites around the world.
