Guitarist / keyboardist Mike Leavey steps out in style on B-Sting, the 2021 CD-EP by The Mike Leavey Trio. As a band leader Mike adds in his fine jazzy and rocking guitar sounds and styles on the 5-cut B-Sting. Backing up Mike's guitar and piano work  in his trio are Scott Cormier (bass) and Dave Baker (drums).

Blending rock power chords with some jazzy guitar techniques, the 5 cut B-Sting features a collection of four original instrumentals with the lone exception being a bluesy vocal called "Drivin' Me Crazy", written in 2003 by Nick Curran and sung here by bassist Scott Cormier.

Best tracks are the jazzy instrumentals written by Mike and the trio members. Combining Mike's gift for combining jump-blues, jazz and rock power chords, no stone is unturned on the "low volume, high octane" sound of B-Sting from The Mike Leavey Trio.
