Mike Bourne and company serve up a spirited sounding set showcasing not only some fine play but also the KC-based guitarist/vocalist’s own considerable skill with the lyric pen.  The swingin’ “Lose Your Rings Keep Your Fingers” stands as strong evidence of this as do a pair of shuffles- the laid-back “Golden Rule” and the frisky “Too Young To Be Old”.  Fretwork is tasty throughout, courtesy of Mr. Bourne and featured guest Jimmy Burgin, horn choruses bring additional flavor and departed harmonica man Davin “Big D” Erickson steps out on an ideal slow set closer, “Kansas City Grease”.
