If it can be said that all music is new if one’s not yet heard it, this just-minted re-release is packed with fresh roots fare of a first-rate variety.  And variety is abundant here as guitarist/bandleader Steve Bramer penned and co-penned blues, soul and r&b songs that rival one another for best of the pack. Doing absolute vocal justice to the meaty lyric sets present is Gerald McClendon.  Mr. McClendon’s masterful delivery meshes solidly with each mood and style change.  Standouts in this rock-solid set include “Pass You By, ””Going Down For The Last Time” and the title track.  Mr. Bramer accounts well for himself throughout also, his two features, “Me & Ian” and “Where’s The Fire", providing refreshing side trips.
