Folk/blues master Bibb breathes in-the-moment vitality into both widely circulated and lesser known Leadbelly compositions.  His robust vocals find a most suitable complement in the agile, spirited harmonica play of partner JJ Milteau.  The congenial atmosphere of  this predominantly “live” set is followed by studio takes including the searing commentary of “Bourgeois Blues”.  Other standouts include “Grey Goose”, “On A Monday” and “Where Did You Sleep Last Night”.
