Sister of playwright Sam Shepard, Sandy Rogers’ voice for the ages graced the soundtrack of Robert Altman’s film of her brother’s play Fool For Love as well as Quentin Tarantino’s debut Reservoir Dogs.  Her profoundly earthy, rough-hewn vocals and warm-hearted sentiments are the common threads running through an original set of considerable range.  Standouts on this early “Best Of” list contender include “Missouri Blue”, “Rented Room”, “Idaho” and the title track.
